When KYCA talks, people listen

The News 1490 has been serving Prescott and the surrounding area for 70 years, providing news and other programming to the rapidly-growing area since before World War II.
KYCA was part of the Arizona Radio Network and owned by KTAR radio in Phoenix. The station was acquired by Southwest Broadcasting in 1970, and remains under that ownership today.
KYCA, an affiliate of the Fox News Radio Network and Westwood One, has been a leader from day one in local, state and national news and sports coverage for the Prescott area.
KYCA began the transition to full-time news-talk radio with the premiere of The Rush Limbaugh Show in 1988 (KYCA was one of the original affiliates of Rush's show) and The Dr. Dean Edell Show a few years later. Both programs remain on KYCA to this day, along with a talk lineup which includes many of today's top rated talent, including Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jerry Doyle, Michael Savage and more.
