Prescott, AZ - August 11, 2023 - A new era begins for the Embry-Riddle men's basketball team as Ben Tucker takes the reins as the newly appointed head coach. Tucker's extensive experience and impressive track record make him a fitting choice to lead the team to new heights. After an extensive search, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University found their man to guide the men's basketball team to success. Ben Tucker, who has previously served as an assistant coach for UC Santa Barbara for the past five seasons, steps into the role with enthusiasm and determination. His pivotal involvement in the Gauchos' 2020-2021 Big West championship victory highlights his capability to foster winning teams. Tucker brings prior coaching experience in Arizona, having been associated with the University of Arizona as a manager and assistant director of basketball operations. He further bolstered his coaching acumen during a season as an assistant coach at NU. Additionally, his coaching journey includes stints as an assistant at the College of Idaho and Walsh University in Canton, Ohio. Tucker's appointment follows the departure of Eric Von de Levi, who successfully guided the Eagles for eight seasons before transitioning to the role of assistant athletic director at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
