An employee of a Prescott restaurant was arrested Friday evening for allegedly punching a cook and a waitress. Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a fight with injuries at the Dry Gulch Steakhouse. When deputies arrived, they found six patrons holding down another man, later identified as Brandon Begay, a dishwasher at the restaurant.
Begay allegedly assaulted a cook while in the kitchen and during the fight, a grease fire started. The cook fled from Begay, who tackled him in the dining area. A waitress attempted to assist the cook and was struck several times by Begay. A group of customers then joined in to assist.
Begay was booked into the Camp Verde Jail, and deputies are following up on victim injuries and damage to the kitchen.
