13-Year-Old Boy Arrested in Cottonwood for Kill List

2/10/23

Cottonwood Police arrested a 13-year-old boy Thursday after he made threats against his fellow students. According to police, staff at Mountain View Prep alerted authorities that the boy told several students that he had put them on his “kill list.” One teacher overheard other students ask the 13-year-old if they were also on his list. Officers arrived at the school, but found no evidence the boy actually wrote out a kill list. Still, the 13-year-old was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of threatening or intimidating, disruption of an educational institution, and making a terroristic threat.
