APS crews have begun a powerline maintenance project in the Granite Basin area of the Prescott National Forest. Various powerline structures on the Prescott-Bagdad transmission line will be replaced. Work will take place near some recreation sites, including Alto Pit, but none of those sites are expected to be closed. Still, visitors to the area are asked to watch out for maintenance crews and equipment. The project should be completed by the end of October.
