Residents in the Prescott area are getting texts from Amazon, saying they placed an order for some expensive product. The text also reads if you did not place the order to call the number provided. This is a scam! 

Amazon does not text or call you about such orders. If you receive this kind of text from Amazon, do not respond to it and do not call any number provided. Instead, contact your local law enforcement agency. As a precaution, check your Amazon account to make sure there are no suspicious purchases on your order page.
