Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority has lost one of its own. Captain Zach Fields passed away at his home in Surprise Sunday. Fields was a reserve firefighter for one year before being promoted to a full-time position. His last assignment was as B-Shift captain on Engine 54.

No further details are being released at this time. Funeral arrangements should be released soon.
