Chino Valley Soccer Teams Triumphant Over Round Valley, Yavapai Men's Soccer Gets Blanked

ON TUESDAY, BOTH THE CHINO VALLEY BOYS AND GIRLS SOCCER TEAMS DROPPED THEIR GAMES AGAINST SNOWFLAKE. THURSDAY, HOWEVER, WAS REBOUND DAY FOR BOTH SQUADS. THE BOYS TEAM ERUPTED OFFENSIVELY AND VANQUISHED ROUND VALLEY 9-1. PHOENIX LANE AND CHRIS ESTRADA BOTH SCORED TWO GOALS. CRISTIAN AYALA, MIGUEL SANCHEZ, JACKSON BISHOP, ANGEL SANCHEZ, AND KEVIN AYALA EACH HAD A GOAL. 


IT WAS A MUCH TIGHTER CONTEST FOR THE GIRLS, BUT CHINO VALLEY EDGED OUT ROUND VALLEY 3-2. DANIELLE GRAHAM RECORDED A PAIR OF GOALS. CHEYANNE BANNAN ALSO SCORED FOR THE LADY COUGARS. 


ALSO ON THURSDAY, THE YAVAPAI COLLEGE MEN’S SOCCER TEAM PLAYED THEIR FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON. THE ROUGHRIDERS WERE IN UTAH TO FACE NUMBER FOUR RANKED SALT LAKE. Y-C WAS UNABLE TO GET ON THE BOARD AND LOST 4-0. 


OTHER LOCAL RESULTS FROM THURSDAY, THE CHINO VALLEY FOOTBALL TEAM LOST TO KINGMAN ACADEMY 18-6. THE EMBRY-RIDDLE WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM GOT SHUTOUT BY SOUTHERN OREGON 1-NIL. THE PRESCOTT GIRLS GOLF TEAM FINISHED THIRD IN THEIR SEASON OPENER. INDIVIDUALLY, KARLEE MOLSTER WAS FOURTH WITH A 48. THE PRESCOTT BADMINTON TEAM SWEPT AGUA FRIA 9-0.
