Citizens Put Out Wildfire in PV
6/16/23
Some citizens in Prescott Valley took action to put out a small wildfire. According to Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority officials, the blaze broke out in the area of East Blazing Star Circle around 2 p.m. Thursday. One person used a tractor to dig a line around the fire to keep it from spreading. Meanwhile, another person hurried to a nearby construction site where a water truck was in use. He alerted the driver, who headed over to the wildfire and doused it with water. The fire was contained by the time CAFMA crews arrived on scene. The cause of the fire was a lawnmower blade that struck a rock and created a spark.
