Cooler and Windy in Prescott This Week
5/1/23
Just as we were getting used to the warmer weather, it’s going to cool off this week in the Prescott area . . . and it’s going to be windy as well. High temperatures are expected to drop to the upper 60s and low 70s starting Tuesday, and could get as low as 60 on Thursday. The winds will also be gusting between 35 to 40 miles-per-hour for much of the week. With the fire danger moderate in the Prescott National Forest, it is important for everyone to be careful with anything that can produce a flame or spark. Do not burn yard waste or use fire pits on windy days. If you smoke, be sure to properly dispose of your cigarette butts. Also, make sure there are no chains dragging on your vehicle as they can produce sparks that can start a wildfire.
