COTTONWOOD POLICE MAKE BIG FENTANYL BUST

COTTONWOOD POLICE OFFICERS TOOK A LARGE AMOUNT OF FENTANYL OFF THE STREET. 


ACCORDING TO COTTONWOOD POLICE, OFFICERS CONDUCTED A TRAFFIC STOP ON HIGHWAY 260 TUESDAY. WHEN THE MALE DRIVER AND FEMALE PASSENGER STARTED ACTING SUSPICIOUS, A K-9 OFFICER WAS CALLED IN. THE DOG DETECTED THE ODOR OF DRUGS, LEADING TO A SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE. OFFICERS FOUND NEARLY 56,000 FENTANYL PILLS, WHICH WEIGHED IN AT MORE THAN 12 POUNDS, ALONG WITH $3,000 IN CASH. 


BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER WERE ARRESTED FOR NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING.
