CRANE AMENDMENT ON U.S. TROOPS TO UKRAINE PASSES HOUSE
"Sending American tax dollars to Ukraine is bad enough – our men & women being sent to die over this conflict is unthinkable." That's a quote from Prescott area Congressman Eli Crane speaking on the House Floor in favor of his amendment before it was adopted by voice vote.
Crane's amendment, which will now be included in the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, prohibits American troops from being sent to fight on the ground in Ukraine.
Crane continued, "It's well past time for the United States to disentangle itself from the misguided war effort in Ukraine and start promoting a peaceful resolution to the conflict."
To date, the United States has shipped more than 100 billion dollars to Ukraine.
