Drought Conditions Ease in Yavapai County
8/19/22
All that rain we’ve seen over the past week has finally eased drought conditions across Yavapai County. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of the county is in moderate drought. For the past several weeks, the western half of Yavapai had been in severe drought. A small portion of northeastern Yavapai County, which includes Sedona, is listed as abnormally dry. The vast majority of the state is in either severe drought or moderate drought. Because of the current drought conditions in Yavapai County, the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is low.
