Drought Conditions Keep Getting Better in Yavapai County

The drought situation in Yavapai County is imporving thanks to the recent monsoon rain. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, three-quarters of the county is in moderate drought. The northeastern corner of the county, including Sedona, and the area around Peeples Valley and Congress in southwestern Yavapai County are listed as abnormally dry. The vast majority of the state is in either moderate drought or abnormally dry. Because of the current drought conditions in Yavapai County, the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is low.
