ERAU to Improve its Flight Training Center
5/26/23
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott is making major improvements to its flight training center. The $9.2 million dollar project will expand the existing facility and modernize its equipment. This is part of the university’s continuing efforts to update its flight training operations. Over the past three years, the school has invested $22 million into the purchase of new aircraft and simulators. A new flight education center at the Prescott Regional Airport is also in the planning stages. It would double the current aircraft capacity. Embry-Riddle officials say the expansion of its flight training operations is necessary as the number of aeronautical science students has increased from 486 in 2018 to 857 in 2022.
