ERAU WOMEN'S SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL FALL IN CAL PAC TOURNAMENTS

11/13/23

THE EMBRY-RIDDLE WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM FOUND THEMSELVES IN A HOLE IN THE FIRST HALF OF SATURDAY’S CAL PAC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. U-C MERCED NOTCHED TWO UNANSWERED GOALS TO TAKE THE LEAD. JAMIE BLACK SCORED FOR THE LADY EAGLES EARLY IN THE SECOND HALF, BUT RIDDLE WAS UNABLE TO PUT ANY MORE BALLS IN THE BACK OF THE NET AND LOST 2-1. JAMIE BRANDON ASSISTED ON THE RIDDLE GOAL.

EVEN THOUGH THE LADY EAGLES LOST, THEY SHOULD STILL EARN A SPOT IN THE N-A-I-A NATIONAL TOURNAMENT. THE SELECTIONS FOR THE TOURNAMENT TAKE PLACE TODAY.

IN OTHER CAL PAC TOURNAMENT ACTION, THE EMBRY-RIDDLE VOLLEYBALL TEAM STARTED OFF THE CAL PAC SEMI-FINALS FRIDAY WITH A 25-21 WIN OVER BENEDICTINE MESA. BUT THE LADY REDHAWKS CAME BACK TO WIN THE NEXT THREE SETS AND TAKE THE MATCH 3-1. DALIA HAASE TALLIED 14 KILLS. KATIE ROLLE GARNERED 41 ASSISTS, AND EMMA BARBER AND LILY FIGGINS BOTH MADE 17 DIGS. RIDDLE ENDS ITS SEASON WITH A RECORD OF 21-10.
