A 76-year-old man reportedly threatened another man with a pistol, only to be disarmed and detained by the victim. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on Old Chisolm Drive in the Prescott Country Club last Friday around 9:15 p.m. The victim and his fiance had spoken to Ronald John Hart about a trailer parked near hart’s property earlier in the evening. While at dinner, the victim received an alert on his phone that Hart was on his property. When the victim arrived home, Hart became confrontational. The victim tried unsuccessfully to calm down Hart, who pulled out a revolver. The victim grabbed Hart, who fired one shot before being disarmed. The victim then held Hart on the ground until sheriff’s deputies arrived. Hart was arrested on weapons misconduct charges, disorderly conduct, and trespassing.
