Hot Week for the Prescott Area
The first full week of September looks to be a hot one for the Prescott area. Temperatures will be in the low 90s through Thursday. There is also no rain in the forecast during that time. To avoid heat-related illnesses, plan any outdoor activities for the early morning or the evening when temperatures are cooler. Be sure to drink plenty of water and stay indoors during the afternoon. You should also check on elderly family members and neighbors, and don’t forget about your pets. Do not keep them in your car when you go to a store. Do not let them outside in the afternoon when the weather is the hottest, and be sure they have plenty of water. Temperatures should drop to the low 80’s by Friday, and the monsoon is expected to return to the Prescott area this weekend.
