It's getting hotter in the Prescott area, so it’s time to take action to prevent heat-related injuries and illnesses. Yavapai County Emergency Management has some simple tips to follow:

· Be sure to drink more water;

· Apply sunscreen pf 30 or higher;

· Check before locking your vehicle for children & pets;

· Take more breaks if working outdoors;

· Check on children and the elderly during a heatwave, and be aware of signs of heat related problems and illnesses.

· Most important,stay cool!
