Cottonwood police have taken a large amount of fentanyl off the street. Last week, K9 officers conducted interdiction operations on Highway 260 between Cottonwood and Camp Verde. In two separate stops, police seized a combined 29 pounds of fentanyl, which comes out to 125,000 pills. Three people were arrested and charged with narcotics trafficking. Cottonwood police say there is a possibility more people could be charged in connection with these traffic stops.
