
HUSD SUPERINTENDENT WILL INTERVIEW 2 FINALISTS
TWO CANDIDATES HAVE BEEN NAMED AS FINALISTS FOR THE POSITION OF SUPERINTENDENT BY THE GOVERNING BOARD OF HUMBOLDT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT.
DR. ERIC DUEPPEN GREW UP IN THE CHINO VALLEY AREA AND BEGAN HIS CAREER IN HUSD. HE CURRENTLY SERVES AS THE CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER FOR THE CREIGHTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT IN TEMPE. PRIOR TO THAT HE SERVED AS PRINCIPAL AND ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL IN THAT SAME SCHOOL DISTRICT.
DR. CHRISTINE GRIFFIN IS A 5-YEAR EMPLOYEE OF HUSD AND HAS 21 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN YAVAPAI COUNTY. SHE HAS SERVED AS THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AND INNOVATION FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS. GRIFFIN HAS ALSO SERVED AS PRINCIPAL AT GRANVILLE ELEMENTARY AND IN COTTONWOOD-OAK CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT AS WELL AS THE K-8 INTERVENTION COORDINATOR IN SEDONA.
EACH FINALIST WILL BE INTERVIEWED BY CONSULTANTS WITH PRE-DETERMINED QUESTIONS THAT WERE DEVELOPED BASED ON THE COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDER INPUT RECEIVED IN EARLY APRIL.
YOU CAN ATEND THIS FORUM AT 5 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 10TH AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE IN THE TRANSPORTATION TRAINING ROOM, BUILDING 500. CANDIDATES WILL BE LIMITED TO ANSWER ONLY QUESTIONS PROVIDED BY THE CONSULTANTS. ATTENDEES WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK AT THE END OF THE INTERVIEWS. YOUR PARTICIPATION IS ENCOURAGED AND GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THE GOVERNING BOARD WILL MEET IN A SPECIAL SESSION ON THURSDAY, MAY 11TH TO HOLD FINAL INTERVIEWS AND MAKE A DETERMINATION.
