Make Sure Your Storm Drain is Clear of Debris During Monsoon

More monsoon rain is expected this week, and that could result in flooding to your property. One reason for this could be a blocked storm drain. Officials with the Yavapai County Flood Control District recommend you check your storm drains to make sure they are clear of leaves, shrubbery, animals, and other debris. If a storm drain is blocked, then water cannot flow properly and go to places where it is needed the most. According to the National Weather Service, there is an 80-percent chance of thunderstorms in the Tri-City area today and a 70-percent chance on Thursday.
