5/16/23
A Springerville man was found guilty of shooting at a vehicle during a road rage incident in Walker. A Yavapai County jury Friday declared 72-year-old Erik Adrian Engdahl guilty of drive by shooting, aggravated assault, criminal damage, and tampering with physical evidence. Back on March 21st, 2021, another motorist passed Engdahl on Walker Road. He pursued the motorist and fired at the vehicle. Engdahl attempted to evade law enforcement by driving to Las Vegas and staying with a friend, who lied to police about Engdahl’s whereabouts. Police eventually found Engdahl and arrested him. He faces between seven to 20 years in prison. Engdahl’s sentencing is scheduled for June 26th.
