Monsoon Rains Might be on the Way to Prescott Area

7/14/23

Monsoon rain might finally be coming to the Tri-City area . . . So says the National Weather Service. Meteorologist Ryan Whoreley says Northern and Southern Arizona could see a 60-percent chance of showers next week. He explains the rain could result in a temperature drop of 20 degrees. Rain for the Phoenix area, however, appears unlikely. Showers would be a welcome relief for the Yavapai County, as the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is very high, and most of the county is under Stage One fire restrictions.
