More Rain and Not as Hot for Prescott This Week

7/31/23

It’s going to be wetter, and the temperature will go down a bit. That’s the forecast from the National Weather Service for the Prescott area this week. The chance for thunderstorms will range from 50 to 80-percent through Wednesday. After that, it appears te monsoon will take a break through the end of the week. High temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 80’s during the work week, and return to the 90 degree mark for the weekend. With heavy rain expected over the next few days, it’s a good idea to take precautions against possible flooding. Be sure to store important papers and other valuables in water-proof containers or keep them off the floor. You can also get free sandbags from any fire station in the Tri-City area, though you will have to fill them yourself.
