
Much of Yavapai County Got Drenched Monday

A wet start to the work week for Yavapai County. According to the County Flood Control District, Granite Basin received more than two inches of rain. Prescott Heights got just over an inch of rain. Big Bug Mesa had 0.83 inches. Prescott Country Club and Outer Loop Road both received 0.67 inches. Cottonwood got little over a half-inch of rain. Goldwater Lake had 0.39 inches. Seligman received 0.35 inches. Watson Lake and Sedona both got 0.31 inches. Mingus Mountain had 0.28 inches. Prescott Mile High Middle School, Prescott Gateway Mall, Lynx Lake, and Fain Lake all received under a quarter-inch of rain. Camp Verde got 0.20 inches. Prescott Valley had 0.16 inches, and Chino Valley and Williamson Valley both received 0.04 inches of rain. More rain is likely for the Prescott area today as the National Weather Service is forecasting a 70-percent chance of thunderstorms.
