With Code Red retired, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has implemented a new emergency mass notification system. Yavapai County residents are encouraged to sign up for alertYAVAPAI. This will allow YCSO to quickly communicate with the public and provide critical and time-sensitive information for emergencies such as wildfires, evacuations, floods and missing persons. Citizens can receive alerts via cell phone by voice or text, email, home phone, or business phone.  The system is easy to use and the instructions for confirming messages will be included in the notification.
