New HVAC Systems Coming to CVUSD

9/28/22

They have been trying to get this project done for more than a decade. Now, the Chino Valley Unified School District finally has the money for it. The district received a $26 million grant from the Arizona School Facilities Oversight Board for its HVAC project. New air conditioning systems will be installed at all Chino Valley schools. In addition, the roofs at these schools will be upgraded. Previously, the schools relied on swamp coolers during hot summer days. Superindentent John Scholl says such devices are not effective in cooling off classrooms, adding the excessive heat and humidity could pose health risks to students and staff. The project should take 18 months to complete.
