NWS Releases Snowfall Totals for Winter in AZ

4/21/23

Arizona got a lot of snow this winter, way more than most cities and towns are used to getting. According to the National Weather Service, between October 1st and April 15th, Prescott received 19.2 inches of observable snowfall. That is twice the amount of snow the city gets in a normal year. Flagstaff, which usually gets around 63 inches of snow during the winter, got 163 inches this past winter. NWS also reports that Seligman got 38 inches of snow, while Bagdad had just over an inch-and-a-half of snow. The north rim of the Grand Canyon got 228 inches of snow this past winter.
