Parts of Sedona, Lake Montezuma Evacuated Due to Flooding
3/16/23
Evacuation orders have been issued for several parts of Sedona. This is due to rising water levels in Oak Creek. An evacuation shelter has been set up at Camp Verde Middle School for people, while another evacuation shelter for pets has been set up at the Camp Verde Community Center. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has also issued evacuation orders for parts of Lake Montezuma along Wet Beaver Creek due to flooding. The weather situation has also forced the closure of Highway 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff as rocks are blocking the roadway.
