Police Go After Speeders in CV
Local law enforcement focused on Chino Valley in an effort to combat speeding. The Prescott Police Department, Prescott Valley Police Department, and Chino Valley Police Department partnered together on Tuesday to conduct a traffic enforcement detail in the Chino Valley area.
This 4-hour detail resulted in 22 traffic stops, 7 speed citations, 2 distracted driving citations, 8 other citations and the arrest of a person with a warrant. This cooperative detail was made possible with funding provided by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The agency provides overtime funding to law enforcement in an effort to target speed reduction, decrease impaired driving, increase seat belt and child safety seat usage as well as motorcycle safety awareness, and driver distractions that cause traffic fatalities and injuries on our streets and highways.
