Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded this morning to a report of a bear attack in the Groom Creek area in Prescott. YCSO and Game and Fish officials were en route to the location. According to the Sheriff's Office, there is a report of one deceased person; however, details are still to be confirmed.  The bear has reportedly been killed, so according to YCSO, there is no further threat to the community. The News 1490 will bring you more details as they become available and may provide live coverage of any news conferences.
