Prepare Your Home for the Next Winter Storm
The Prescott area just experienced its first significant snowfall of the season, and more storms will likely follow over the next few months. City of Prescott officials recommend you make plans now to get ready for future snow storms. First is to prepare your home by having an adequate supply of wood for your fireplace and making sure carbon monoxide detectors are working. You should also put together an emergency kit with flashlights, batteries, blankets, a portable radio, and a first aid kit. Always make sure you have at least a three-day supply of food, water, and prescription medication. Also, during a snowstorm, park your vehicle off the street if possible. This will aid in snowplowing efforts.
