Prescott City Council Revises Open Call to the Public Format

The City of Prescott is revising its rules to the open call to the public portion of city council meetings. Starting at the council’s next meeting on Tuesday, the following guidelines will be in place:

Citizens will be limited to addressing council on the same topic only four times in total; if a topic has been addressed more than five times by different speakers, the mayor may limit future discussion of that topic; subjects of a national concern may be limited at the discretion of the mayor. The city council hopes this will make more efficient use of the open call to the public segment of its meetings.
