PUSD Board to Vote on Social Studies Curriculum
Implementing a new social studies curriculum for all schools in the Prescott Unified School District gets voted on at Tuesday's governing board meeting. This comes after a committee of K-12 teachers, administrators, district staff, parents, and community members was created to review the curriculum. The committee looked over six social studies curriculum programs, identified their strengths and weaknesses, and came to a consensus on the Teachers Curriculum Institute, or TCI program. The board also considers a new scope and sequence for the education of gifted students. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the district office boardroom at 300 East Gurley Street.
