PVPD Warns of Online Banking Scam

Prescott Valley police are warning residents to beware of an online banking scam. According to police, scammers look at people’s Facebook pages to see what financial institutions they have liked. Next, they search the web for the names, addresses, and other personal information of their potential targets before sending them a message that their online bank account has been compromised. If you receive any message like this, do not respond to it. Instead, hang up and call your financial institution to alert them of this issue.
