At the Wednesday meeting of the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, Board Chairman James Gregory announced the death of Sandi Brown, wife of County Supervisor Craig Brown, following a brief illness.

Chairman Gregory said, “We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sandi in the early morning hours of Monday, October 30, 2023. For anyone who had the good fortune of meeting and knowing Sandi, they know what a wonderful human being she was. Sandi had a smile, a hug, and a word of encouragement and welcome for all she met. Our community will truly be less without Sandi. I ask that we all keep Craig and family in our thoughts and prayers at this time of tremendous loss.”

Prescott Mayor Phil Goode said of Brown's passing, “I was shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Sandi Brown, wife of Yavapai County Supervisor Craig Brown. Sandi was unfailingly kind and engaging, and was almost always at her husband’s side at events and activities around Prescott.   On behalf of the entire City of Prescott I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Supervisor Brown and his family.  We want to let them know that our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.”
