Shop With a Cop a Success
Over 60 children from Prescott and surrounding communities were treated to breakfast, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and shopping for christmas gifts.
Law enforcement officers from numerous agencies volunteered their time last Saturday to bring christmas to over children in need during the Shop With a Cop event.
The law enforcement agencies who took part include the U.S. Marshal’s Posse, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Yavapai College PD, Arizona Game and Fish, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Prescott PD, Chino Valley PD, Prescott Valley PD, Veteran’s Affairs police, Yavapai-Prescott Tribal Police, and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. Native Air and CAFMA were charged with the safe transportation of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Prescott Police Chief Amy Bonney added, "The Prescott Police Department is honored to coordinate this special event each year, and we are so thankful to our community for their generous support."
