It appears someone wanted to have their own fireworks show, and that resulted in a wildfire. Firefighters were called out to Willow Lake in Prescott Saturday night around 9 p.m. for a report of a wildfire. An engine from Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority was the first on the scene and discovered a half-acre wildfire burning near the boat ramp. The blaze was quickly brought under control. Prescott Fire Department officials say they believe the fire was caused by illegal fireworks. They want to remind everyone that the private use of fireworks is prohibited by law.
