It was a rainy Sunday for Yavapai County. According to the County Flood Control District, the Verde River at Perkinsville received 1.14 inches of rain, which prompted a flood warning for many parts of the river overnight. Big Chino Wash got 0.31 inches. Willow Lake had 0.28 inches. Watson Lake and Williamson Valley both received 0.12 inches, and Chino Valley, Outer Loop Road, Goldwater Lake, and Ash Fork all got 0.04 inches of rain. More rain is expected today for the Prescott area as the National Weather Service is forecasting a 50-percent chance of thunderstorms.
