The Air is Good in Yavapai County

The air in Yavapai County is pretty good. That’s according to the American Lung Association. In its State of the Air report, Yavapai received a “B” for air quality, as it had just one high ozone day over the past year. The only other Arizona county to receive a grade of “B” for its air quality was La Paz, while Coconino County got an “A”. Four Arizona counties received a failing grade for their air quality . . . Gila, Pima, Pinal, and Maricopa. Phoenix made the list as one of the worst cities in the country for high ozone days, while Flagstaff is one of the cleanest cities. Matt Pace, a Meteorologist with the state Department of Environmental Quality, says people need to do their part to reduce emissions.
