A box truck rolled over and caught fire on I-17 near Camp Verde. The crash occurred Wednesday around 12:30 p.m. in the southbound lane. Crews from the Copper Canyon Fire District responded to the scene. Forest Service personnel also arrived due to the possibility of a wildfire, but the fire was extinguished before the flames could spread to nearby grass. The accident resulted in the closure of that stretch of I-17 for more than an hour. The cause of the accident and the condition of the driver of the box truck are not known at this time.
