11/20/23
The United States Department of Transportation has agreed to extend the current Essential Air Service, OR ‘EAS’, contract in Prescott through August 31st, 2024, or until a new EAS contract has been agreed upon by the City. The current EAS agreement is with United Express, Operated by SkyWest Airlines, with daily flights to Los Angeles and to Denver. This service has been in place since August 2018.
Prescott City Manager Katie Gregory says, “This extension will allow us the time needed to finalize a new EAS. This is great news for the Airport and for the Citizens of the Prescott region. A special thank you to the airport staff for all their work with SkyWest and The U.S. Department of Transportation to secure this extension.”
