Warm and Windy Weather This Week; Be Mindful of the Fire Danger
4/24/23
Look for the weather to warm up in the Tri-City area this week. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the mid-80s toward the end of the week. Along with being warmer, it will also be windy, as most days will see gusts between 20 and 25 miles-per-hour. With no rain in the forecast, it’s important to be careful with anything that can produce a spark or flame, which can start a wildfire. The fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is moderate, so be sure to completely put out any campfire before leaving your campsite. Also, make sure no chains are dragging from your vehicle as they can throw out sparks and start a wildfire. You should also check with your local fire department before burning any yard waste.
