Wildfire Near Perkinsville Road

Units from the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to a wildfire off Perkinsville Road Friday. It was in the same area where two months ago another wildfire broke out. The burn scar from that blaze actually kept this wildfire from spreading further. Firefighters contained the wildfire to four acres. Along with CAFMA, crews from the U.S. Forest Service and State Department of Forestry and Fire Management assisted in firefighting efforts. No injuries or property damage were reported. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
