Yavapai County Sees No Change in Drought Conditions
8/24/23
All the rain that Yavapai County has gotten over the past week has not put a dent in our drought conditions. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, just like last week, much of Southern Yavapai is abnormally dry, while the southeast corner of the county, including Black Canyon City, is in moderate drought. As for the rest of Arizona, three-quarters of the state is either abnormally dry or in moderate drought. The recent rain has lowered the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest to moderate. Still, everyone is urged to exercise caution with anything that can produce and flame or a spark.
