YCSO Deputies, Corrections Officers Get Pay Raises
11/17/22
Yavapai County Sheriff deputies and detention officers are getting pay raises. Sheriff David Rhodes, as part of the Arizona Sheriff’s Association, helped secured over $53 million from the state dedicated specifically to the 15 county sheriff’s offices to help retain current staff and help recruit new personnel. The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approved an intergovernmental service agreement Wednesday with the state to provide funds directly to YCSO deputies and detention officers. Rhodes said that they were grateful that the Board of Supervisors gave a salary adjustment for all county staff this summer, but that other law enforcement agencies were offering well over what a deputy is making in Yavapai County. The county's share of the retention funds equaled $3.22 million.
