YCSO Investigates Fatal Shooting in Paulden

One man is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Paulden. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred last Wednesday around 10 p.m. at a residence on Alpine Drive. Deputies arrived to find 22-year-old Tristin Roque suffering from a gunshot wound. The deputies spent more than an hour trying to revive Roque, but he succumb to his injuries. Roque’s father, Donald, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, but charges against him have not been finalized. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear, and the investigation is continuing.
