A memorial dedication for Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Richard Lopez takes place Tuesday at Antelope Park in Prescott Valley. A plaque will be laid down in his honor. Lopez was shot and killed last year in Cordes Lakes while attempting to arrest a suspect. He was a 14-year veteran of the sheriff’s office and is survived by his wife and two daughters. The ceremony begins at 1 p.m. Antelope Park is located at 8075 Powers Ave.
