YCSO SWAT ARREST BLACK CANYON CITY MAN FOR ALLEGEDLY STABBING A WOMAN
10/24/23
Yavapai County Sheriff's Office dispatchers received a call from a woman early Sunday morning who stated that a shoeless female holding a large kitchen knife had run to her home for help.
According to YCSO, deputies learned that 37-year-old Cayce Sahr from Black Canyon City had allegedly assaulted the woman in his home by slamming her head into the floor. The victim was able to get away and run to a bedroom where Sahr reportedly pinned her on the bed and stabbed her wrist 4-5 times with a knife, telling her he was going to kill her.
The victim was able to escape and run to the neighbor’s house, who then called 911. However, Sahr was not at his residence when YCSO arrived and a notice to be on the lookout was issued for him.
Another neighbor called YCSO Sunday evening to report they saw Sahr’s vehicle parked back at his house. Deputies returned and surrounded the home, calling for Sahr to exit the residence. He refused to comply. Deputies then called for the YCSO SWAT team, who were able to get the suspect out of the home safely and arrest him on multiple charges, including aggravated assault.
